The 1930 car register is being transcribed – all car owners in Hedmark are now searchable

A total of 2328 cars were registered with a D-number, i.e. Hedmark plates, in 1930. Now you can search for cars and owners here at Slekt1.

Four years earlier, the number of cars was almost 30 percent lower and five years later, in 1935, the number was 28% higher. Although there were a limited number of people who owned cars, however, the number of car owners in the pre-war period increased quite rapidly.

Search in the Car Book from 1930 is part of the service Find Family, here at Slekt1.com

In the 1930 Car Book, you can look up:

  • Owner's name and title/occupation, if applicable
  • Place of residence (in some cases, you will also be given the exact street address here)
  • The make of the car and what it was used for
  • The car's registration number

Soon we will follow up by publishing cars and their owners in Oppland 1930
