Anders Haugland (b. 1949) is from Ølen and descends from Haugland on Radøy. He is a trained lecturer with a major in history from the University of Bergen and has written the six-volume local history series Skåneviksoga (farm and family history and general history) as well as three other local history books and a school history book for Ølen. He has previously been mayor of Ølen municipality and worked at the secondary school.
