New and better front page for Digitalarkivet

The digital archive has a new front page, which is a big step in the right direction in terms of user-friendliness.

The new website is divided into different search entries that take you to censuses, property information, church records and more. For example, if you click on the Census search entry, you can quickly and easily click through to the exact census you were looking for.

The various search inputs also include a separate input designed solely for people searches, as well as an advanced search that allows you to search across the various search inputs.

Although a new front page for Digitalarkivet is in place, work will continue to map the challenges users encounter on Digitalarkivet.no.

However, if you have become accustomed to the old front page and want to continue using it, you can. The Digital Archive has posted a separate link that takes you to the old version, which you can find at the top of the new website.
