Perhaps you will find a relative who was on the \u00abwrong side\u00bb during the many wars Denmark-Norway had with Sweden in the period 1645-1814. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first soldiers in the register were stationed in what is referred to as Sweden's heyday. It is this register that is the starting point for the collection at Slekt1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The collection consists of almost 100,000 records, where some names are repeated several times. This may be due to changes in the soldier's service relationship with the various J\u00e4mtland companies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here you can find out their name, year of birth, year of death, military rank, when they entered and left the service, whether they were killed in war or ended up in captivity, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the help of the autocomplete function we have implemented in the \u00abFind Genealogy\u00bb service, you also get good help to find alternative ways of writing the name of any relatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The collection does not show kinship, but if you find a distant relative, it can add a little spice to your family history.
