This week marks the long-awaited wedding of Prince Harry, who is now sixth in line to the throne, behind the newborn Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge. Prince Harry will marry his American girlfriend Meghan Markle at St. George’s Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle, where Prince Harry was christened. The event will be broadcast around the world for millions to watch as with other special Royal weddings dating back to 1960.

MyHeritage user Delbert Ritchhart from San Diego, California is an avid genealogist. Despite making multiple genealogy breakthroughs over the years, there was still a big open question when it came to Del’s Great-great grandparents from Ireland. It was through a MyHeritage DNA match that Del was able to get the answers that he’d been looking for. Del grew up in Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado before entering the Navy.

Applications are now closed to DNA Quest, our pro bono project to provide 15,000 free MyHeritage DNA kits to adoptees and their family members to help them reunite. The international community of adoptees has welcomed this project with open arms and helped spread the word to increase its reach. Emotional stories of adoptions and of families who placed children in adoptive care have poured in.

Many users considered the Pedigree View as their most wanted feature on MyHeritage, so we are delighted to fill this need. A Pedigree View includes a root person and his/her ancestors.
