This time, 137,106 people from 110 congregations in Stockholm and four provinces have been added to the collection.

Counties that have received new records include Jönköping, Skaraborg, Örebro and Västernorrlands län.

There are now a total of 3,664,711 searchable persons in the Swedish 1930 census. A total of 6,131,126 people lived in Sweden when the census was conducted and can be searched for.

Unlike in Norway, the Swedish National Archives publishes people in the searchable censuses when it is 100 years since they were born. Therefore, updates to the 1930 census are made in batches in Sweden.

In Norway, the blocking period for the census as a whole is set at 100 years.

Sweden’s 1930 census is a valuable resource that provides insight into population composition, residence, occupations and other demographic data at the time. This digitized accessibility opens up opportunities for a broader group of people to explore and discover their Swedish family background.

Here you will find the Swedish censuses for 1860, 1870, 1880, 1890, 1900, 1910 and 1930.
