Bonnier publishing house is looking for new story projects and is therefore launching a competition.

Both established and new writers are invited to participate with scripts set sometime between 793 and 1814.

The publisher is looking for manuscripts with both national and regional themes and informs that they are open to great variation in the range between the known events and the footnotes of history. Do you have a family history from before 1814, which already constitutes the scope of a book? Or perhaps you can spin on the story and add new elements to get the scope that Bonnier is looking for?

All entries will be assessed by a jury consisting of Mona Ringvej, Tom Egeland and Bonnier's non-fiction editorial team, consisting of Magnus Skjæraasen Aarø and Ingrid Eia Ryvarden.

It is important that the manuscripts are original works and written in Norwegian.

The submission deadline for manuscripts is September 1, 2022 and Bonnier would like to receive the entire manuscript or a full project description and 3-4 sample chapters. Entries must be marked «Script competition - history» and sent to sakprosa@bonnierforlag.no
