Norges bilbok 1935 is «A complete list of registered automobiles in Norway, their type, factory, owner's name and address (...)» The book was published from 1922 to 1930, with a final edition five years later in 1935.
Norges bilbok 1935 contains a nationwide overview of registered cars and car owners and can be a useful «non-traditional» source for finding more information about your relatives.
About the entries
The book contains information about tens of thousands of cars registered in Norway in 1935. The information about each individual car may vary, but the following can be found:
- The car's registration number
- Owner's name and title/occupation (may be registered to a company)
- Address
- Art, what the car was used for
- Factory (Which car brand)
- Model year
- Where in the country the car was registered
A scanned version of Norway's Car Book 1935 can be found at Digital Archive.no. As they wrote in 1922, it has not been possible to transcribe 100% without errors this time either.
