According to the local newspaper Hitra-Frøya, Olaus Selvaag and Svein Bertil Sæther have begun work on a local history book for Hitra. The work is planned to be published in a total of six volumes and completed by 2020.
Hitra municipality has promised to contribute NOK 200,000 per year to the project, which has been in the planning stage for around 20 years. The Coastal Museum and the Historical Society will now collaborate on the project.
