35 years after the last Birkenes village book was published, a new one is being planned. The new book is planned to be published for the Christmas sales in 2012 and will function as an extension of the 1975 volume, «Legacy and growth«, which is also available online.
The committee is now looking for an editor to coordinate work on the book, which will be between 300 and 350 pages long. The planned print run is 500 copies.
