Gjerdrum municipality has responded negatively to Gjerdrum Historielag's recommendation to start work on a new volume of Gjerdrum bygdebok. According to Head of Culture Cathrine Haakonsen, there is no room in the budget for such a publication.
Volume four of Gjerdrum bygdebok, "In the sign of change" covers the years from 1870 to 1940. The book was printed in 2,000 copies and at the time of publication, municipal manager Magne Skrede wondered whether a fifth volume might only be published as a digital edition.
