Volume eight is expected to be completed and ready for launch in January 2025, after the project has been delayed for several months.

The book was originally scheduled for completion in spring 2024, but various factors have led to delays. One of the main reasons is the size of the work. This volume consists of 850 to 900 pages, which is 150 pages more than the previous publication.

The extensive content has led to more time-consuming editorial work and proofreading, which has affected progress. A print run of 1,200 copies is planned.

The Aurskog-Høland local history book project has been a long-term process that began in the 1980s. Volume eight covers further parts of the local history, but the project is not yet complete.

Volume 8 will encompass Østby-fjerdingen and will include the following farms: Dæli, gnr. 76, Voll, gnr. 77, Østegarden, gnr. 78, Vestby, gnr. 79, Hol, gnr. 80, Ås, gnr. 81, Tønneberg, gnr. 82, Nordre Hemnes, gnr. 83, Søndre Hemnes, gnr. 84, Sø-Enger, gnr. 121, Nord-Enger, gnr. 122, Sø-Østby, gnr. 123, Blakkestad, gnr. 124, Nord-Østby, gnr. 125 and Hellesjø, gnr. 126.

Two volumes remain, and these will cover the Gangnes, Dalsroa and Østreng areas.
