- If you have already registered, proceed to step 2.
- If you are not already registered as a member with us, you need to do this. Please go to: http://www.arkivdigital.se/users/register and fill in the information requested. Take extra care to enter the correct e-mail address and choose your own password. The password must consist of at least 6 characters.
- Install the program ADOnLine2, http://www.arkivdigital.se/produkter/adonline/installation. If you do not have the latest version, we recommend that you install it. The latest version is 1.4.2 (rev 610). You can see which version you have by clicking the Help menu in the program and then clicking About.
- During the installation, you will be asked a number of questions. You must answer these "positively" and when the installation is complete, you will have an icon on your computer's desktop called ADOnLine2.
- Double-click on the icon to start the program.
- A login box will now appear. Here you enter your login details (email and password). Be sure to enter exactly the same as you did when you registered. For example, there is a difference between upper and lower case letters. If you get an error message about the wrong email/password, something is wrong. Click off the messages and then click on the File menu and Log in. The login box will now appear again. Delete what it says and fill in the information again.
- Once you have logged in, you are now in the program and can start researching.
- To the left is a list of archive creators. Search for "your" congregation in the list or enter it directly in the search field above. Click on the name to select.
- A list of volumes from your chosen congregation will now appear on the right. Find the right volume in the list and double-click it with the left mouse button to open the volume.
- When the volume is open, scroll through it with -5, -1, +1 and +5 or the direct selection between -1 and +1.
- On the installation page you will also find a manual for the program.
