New historical population register in Norway
The Registration Center for Historical Data at the University of Tromsø has been awarded NOK 2 million to investigate the possibilities for a new national historical population register.

The Research Council of Norway has allocated this money. If the population register is a success, it could place Norway in a leading position when it comes to research into, for example, social changes and hereditary diseases.

Volume 1 of Brønnøy Farm and Family History completed
The first volume, in a series of 7-8 volumes, dealing with today's Brønnøy has now been completed somewhat ahead of the planned date in October. The first book covers the farms Reinfjord lille, Trælnes, Rodal, Kråknes (Krokne), Vedal, Skomo indre, Skomo ytre, Eide and Skill (Skille).
