The Registration Center for Historical Data at the University of Tromsø has been awarded NOK 2 million to investigate the possibilities for a new national historical population register.
The Research Council of Norway has allocated this money. If the population register is a success, it could place Norway in a leading position when it comes to research into, for example, social changes and hereditary diseases.
