The three living family lines are descended from Abraham Alexander Pihl (1838-1909), district doctor, Oluf Pihl (1822-1895), gasworks director, and Carl Abraham Pihl (1825-1897), railway director.
The book is written by Torbjørn Pihl and published by Bodoni forlag in Bergen. It has 174 pages and over 200 illustrations, printed on good paper and solidly bound in leatherette.
