Volume 4 of «Rygge - Bosteder og slekter» has finally been published. The fourth volume in this series deals with the farms Kure, Sildebaugen, Nærum, Kubberød, Møvik, Braathu, Støtvik Nedre and Tollefsrød. All the farms and properties that were separated from here until 1950 are described.
It contains farm history, family history and personal data. It describes farms, homesteads, businesses and ordinary dwellings, as far back in time as information is available and up to the present day. New in this volume is that summer residences older than 1950 are also described.
The book is 500 pages long and describes a large number of homes and more than a thousand people.
It is illustrated with hundreds of photos, almost all of which are previously unpublished. The book is hardcover. The whole thing is an idealistic undertaking! The work has now been going on for 14 years.
The books are printed in a limited edition, but it is still possible to secure a copy of the earlier volumes.
Volume 5 in this series has been completed and is scheduled for release in spring 2022 and this volume describes the farms Grefsrød, Saltbohuset and Støtvik Mellom.
