Helge Ness is currently working on the first volume of the new village book for Alvdal. The aim is to complete it before Christmas, but he makes no promises to the newspaper Arbeidets rett.
In February 2006, the municipal council decided that Alvdal should get a new village book. Alf Eggset was commissioned to write the first book in the planned three-volume work about Alvdal.
