If all goes according to plan, the first volume of «Ættesoga for Sund» will be published in 2012. A total of five volumes are planned for Sund in Hordaland, the latest of which will cover the municipality's cultural history. At the moment, however, the village book committee needs a better response to the 2,100 genealogy forms that were sent out to residents in the fall, which so far only 500 people have answered.
The local history book project was approved by the municipality in 2007, and it was decided that a total of NOK 10 million would be set aside to publish the five planned local history books. This was reported by the newspaper Vestnytt.
