This book is the fourth and final volume on the farm and family history of Høvåg. Volume 1, which was published in 2013, covers farm numbers 48-61. Volume 2 was published in 2014 and covers parcel numbers 62-78, while the third volume, from 2016, covers parcel numbers 79-92. This final volume starts with parcel no. 93, Ytre Tronderøya, and ends with parcel no. 103, Ågerøya. It tells the story of each individual farm and the people who have lived there, from around 1600 to the present day. The book is lavishly illustrated with around 750 photos from both older and more recent times. The farm numbers 1-46 in Lillesand municipality relate to Vestre Moland, which together with Høvåg and Lillesand town (gnr. 47) became one municipality in 1962. The series of village books will continue in the coming years with the farm and family history of Vestre Moland.
