Langmyr, for his part, owns the rights to Slektregister for Drangedal (Family Register for Drangedal), a register he has spent 15 years and NOK 1.8 million on publishing. In 2004, he received Drangedal Municipality's Culture Award for his work on the books.
He told NRK that Tore Strømøy and Finn Karlsen had accessed the family register in a way that was not in his spirit, because he had never given them permission to do so.
