Seven years after the launch of volume 2, it is once again time for a new local history book launch in Bindal. On Thursday, December 3, the third volume of the Bindal local history book will be launched at Horstad Farm in Åbygda. A total of 27 farms are featured in this volume, from Årsand in Sørfjorden to Innerreppen in Bindalsfjorden. According to the plan, the local history book series will be complete when the fourth volume is published in the future.
Unfortunately, Bindal's local history author, Håvard Sylten, passed away this summer, and a new writer must therefore be found before the fourth volume can become a reality. This latest volume of Bindal's local history will cover, among other things, the Kolsvika-Finnlia area, which belonged to old Bindal, and Sel- and Harangsfjord.
