Gudmund Bakke, the former author of the local history book, is set to become the author of the new local history book. The focus will now shift from the people of the village to general cultural history. According to Mayor Per R. Berger, the municipal executive committee has allocated NOK 500,000 to local history in the 2010 budget, which will be financed through a separate local history fund.
The previous local history books by Gudmund Bakke, all published between 2001 and 2009, are available in digital format on Hole municipality's website, with the exception of volume 5, which is currently only available in paper format.
