The Swedish National Archives is still working to update the 1930 census with people who are no longer covered by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Unlike in Norway, the Swedish National Archives publishes people in the searchable censuses when it is 100 years since they were born. Therefore, the update in the 1930 census comes in batches in Sweden. The Swedish National Archives has therefore now added the remaining persons born in 1924 to the collection of the 1930 census.
This amounts to 69,236 people from different countries.
There are now a total of 3,733,947 searchable persons in the Swedish 1930 census. A total of 6,131,126 people lived in Sweden when the census was conducted and can be searched for.
In Norway, the blocking period for the census as a whole is set at 100 years.
