Thanks to a gift of previously transcribed car books from Asbjørn Johannessen, we have now added 1,781 cars and their owners from Troms for the period 1937-1939.
The vehicle registers give interested parties the opportunity to explore the history of both families and vehicles from Troms at the end of the 1930s. In addition, there are already a number of transcribed car books from Troms (and the rest of the country) here at Slekt1, so don't rule out the possibility of finding car owners from Troms beyond these years through our joint search.
The vehicle registration documents that can be searched here on Slekt1 are primarily from the pre-war period, i.e. before 1940.
This supplement that is now being published is taken from the series «Who owns the car?» which was published for a number of years. The entries may contain information such as registration number, name and possibly title of the owner, what the car was used for, where it was registered and what brand it was. in a few cases, you can also see the car's year model in this supplement.
It is worth noting that the national car book called «Norges bilbok 1935» (Norway's 1935 car book) largely lists the model year of all the cars listed in it.
