The work to digitize The car book from 1925 and Norway's cars 1935 is nearing completion. We have now added almost 2,000 cars registered in Hordaland and their owners to the digital editions of the books, which you can find here on Slekt1.
Med denne tilføyelsen av Hordaland-biler er over 84 000 biler og deres bileiere fra 1922, 1925, 1935 og 1947 søkbare gjennom tjenesten Find family.
Biler og bileiere fra Bergen ble publisert i forrige runde, så Hordaland er med andre ord komplett i årene 1922, 1925 og 1935.

Bildet viser en bil på tur i Tokagjelet, Norheimsund, Hordaland. Zoomer vi inn kan vi se at registreringsskiltet har nummer R307. Bildet er datert til å være tatt mellom 1939 og 1949, men bilens utseende og manglende funn i Norges bilbok fra 1935 tyder på at det er eldre.
I bilboka fra 1925 finner vi registreringsnummeret med informasjon om at det er en drosje tilhørende «Nordheimsund Billag». Dette viser hvordan bilbøkene også kan være med på å datere gamle fotografier.
