A new county has been added to the databases containing car owners in 1925 and 1935. This time it is Rogaland with its 964 registered cars in 1925 and 3061 registered cars in 1935 that has been added to the service Finn Slekt here at Slekt1.
In total, 4025 registered cars and their owners are now searchable on Slekt1. Among the more well-known Rogalendinger are Sven Oftedal (1906-1948), who was Minister of Social Affairs from 1945-1948.
In the car book from 1925, you can find information such as registration number, name of owner, type of car, what it was used for, which county the car was registered in and where the car owner was domiciled.
In Norway's car book from 1935, you can find the same information as in 1925, but unlike the car book from 1925, you can also find the model year of the car. However, Rogaland is an exception here, where for some reason the year model is not stated.
The picture above shows a 17th May celebration in Stavanger in 1932, the car with registration number L3191 is found neither in the car book from 1925 nor in Norway's car book from 1935. Possibly it had a short life on Norwegian roads or it was temporarily deregistered in 1935.
