In 1930, a total of 5,272 cars and car owners were registered in the areas of Rogaland, Bergen city, Hordaland, Sogn og Fjordane and Møre county. All can now be searched for here at Slekt1.com.
The entries that have now been added to the searchable edition of Bilboka from 1930 are distributed as follows:
- Rogaland - 2042 entries
- Bergen city - 981 entries
- Hordaland - 983 entries
- Sogn og Fjordane - 272 entries
- Møre - 994 entries
In most counties (including Bergen), this was close to a doubling of what was registered in Bilboka from 1926. The exception is Sogn og Fjordane, which experienced a threefold increase in the number of registered cars in the county from 1926 to 1930.
With this addition, the number of searchable car owners here on Slekt1 is up to 175,903, including some motorcycles and their owners.

- Owner's name and title/occupation, if applicable
- Place of residence (in some cases, you will also be given the exact street address here)
- The make of the car and what it was used for

The car book from 1930 is now almost fully transcribed, with only Trøndelag and northwards remaining. These will be added to the database in the near future.
The picture above shows a Renault on its way over Sognefjellet. In the car book from 1930 we can read that it belonged to a John Galde. Five years later, we can read in Norway's car book from 1935 that the car had been replaced by a Studebaker 1930 model, still owned by John Galde.
