Recently, the village book committee decided that a new volume of the Vefsn village book should be started.
Just before Christmas, the village book committee in Vefsn decided to start a new volume in the Vefsn village book series. The new volume in the series is entitled Gardshistoire for Halsfjorden og ytre Vefsnfjorden.
The book will cover farm numbers 242-263 in Halsfjorden and Outer Vefsnfjorden and has been approved by Svein Gunnar Jacobsen’s company, according to the minutes of the meeting. Jacobsen is also chairman of the Vefsn Family History Society.
A total of NOK 1.5 million has been set aside to cover the author’s fee and other costs associated with the work. Printing costs are excluded and covered by the Rural Book Board’s printing fund.
